Lead in Water Service Lines Letter
Please see the additional information below regarding a letter that a majority of the residents of Seymour received today regarding identifying lead in water service lines.
The Wisconsin DNR and Public Service Commission (PSC) are requiring all municipal water systems to complete a system wide inventory of all water services. The EPA has developed an on-line step-by-step guide to help people identify lead pipes in their homes called Protect Your Tap : A Quick Check for Lead. It’s available at https://www.epa.gov/gro.../protect-your-tap-quick-check-lead. Please go to this website to review the information and then self-report the service information for your residence by calling the Clerk’s Office at (920) 833-2209 to report the following information:
• What type of material is the water line entering your house? (before the water meter)
Copper__Galvanized__Plastic__Lead__ Other_______________________________
• Water line material throughout the house located after the meter? This does not include drain lines in the house. Check all that apply:

Please contact the Clerk’s Office at (920) 833-2209 If you’re not comfortable with self-reporting this information and would like to have a Seymour Utility Employee stop by and record your service information.
