City Cemetery

The City Cemetery is located at W3250 Cemetery Rd.  Lots are available for purchase by contacting the Municipal Building at (920) 833-2209 or visiting our office Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

 

Following is a list of Cemetery Regulations

· Cemetery Hours are sunrise to sunset. Muni Code Sec. 50-93(c)(3)

· Vehicles must remain on the driveways. Muni Code Sec. 50-93(c)(3)

· Sturdy non-breakable ground containers are permitted on the sides of the grave marker. Containers on the front side of the grave marker are not permitted. No plastic cemetery vases or artificial flowers allowed to be pushed into ground around gravestone.  Muni Code Sec. 50-93 (b)

· Clean Up Periods. The cemetery clean-up periods are between Oct. 1st and Nov. 15th, and between April 1st and May 1st. All decorations, containers and other adornments remaining on grave sites or lots during the clean-up periods will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of at the discretion of the Director of Public Works or his assignee. Muni Code Sec. 50-93 (b) and Muni Code Sec. 18-13

· Flowers, wreaths, or floral pieces left on graves should be removed when they become faded or unsightly. Live flowers to be planted in sturdy non-breakable ground containers.  Muni Code Sec. 18-13

· No Flag Holders. Flags may be pushed into the ground on the Wednesday before Memorial Day and removed the following Wednesday. Muni Code Sec. 18-13

· No staked emblems allowed. Flush mount plaques allowed 12x24 in size or mounted on back of headstone. Bronze emblems allowed to be attached to headstone. Worked to be performed by monument company in conjunction with lot owner. Muni Code Sec. 18-13

· No shepherds hooks. Recommend metal hangers for gravestone.  Muni Code Sec. 50-93 (b)

· No edging of any kind, trellises, glass containers to include solar lighted items, or other breakable items. No stuffed animals or toys are allowed. Muni Code Sec. 50-93 (b)

· No pets. Muni Code Sec. 50-93 (c) (7)
